The Energy Performance Certificate, known as an EPC, contains a number of useful pieces of information about your property. The EPC shows the current Energy Efficiency Rating of the property and the potential rating if the recommended energy saving measures were implemented. There are several recommended measures listed that could help save energy and therefore money and these have been tailored specifically to your property from the information obtained during the assessment process. The indicated costs and potential savings of these measures are shown.
Your property scored C70 on the Energy Efficiency Rating with a potential rating of A96 . This could be achieved by carrying out the following recommendations:
Recommendation 1 Flat roof or sloping ceiling insulation
Recommendation 2 Floor insulation (solid floor)
Recommendation 3 Solar Water heating
Recommendation 4 Replacement glazing units
Recommendation 5 High performance external doors
Certain energy saving measures that you may be aware of, for example (Photovoltaic Panels), might not be listed as a recommendation for you on the EPC report. It may be that the property is not suitable for these measures, that they already exist at the property, or that it has been calculated that the savings made would not be recovered by the initial cost of installing that particular measure.
In producing the ratings and recommendations the software makes certain assumptions about the way the property is lived in, such as assuming a standard level of occupancy and heating levels within the property. As such you may feel it is not a true reflection of the performance of the property. This EPC has been lodged on the EPC Register ( https://www.gov.uk/find-energy-certificate ) along with any other EPCs previously lodged for the property. The EPC can be accessed here by searching for the address. It is a requirement of the scheme that the site notes and photographs that were taken during your assessment are retained by us for fifteen years in case of any future queries.
